School Information

"Learning to Fly and Soaring High"

Plainview School District RE-2 is a public school serving Preschool through 12th grade students. The school is located between the towns of Sheridan Lake and Towner, CO. The school was consolidated and opened in 1962. Today we have approximately 40 students Pre-K - 12. Plainview offers extracurricular activities for Junior High and High School students, including Volleyball, Basketball, Track, Knowledge Bowl and Student Council. Elective classes are based on interests of the students, relevance to learning experiences, and vary widely on topics. The Elementary offers Student Council and full day Kindergarten programs. The school utilizes the Universal Preschool Program and provides full day services to students one and two years prior to Kindergarten based on age requirements. As a member of the Southeastern Board of Cooperative Education, we sponsor an annual Child Find as a means of early intervention for children ages birth to 5 as well as providing complete services for students with special needs.

Sheridan Lake Volunteer Crew 2nd Annual event
Join us for a fun-filled evening at the Sheridan Lake Fire House (510 Broadway Ave., Sheridan Lake, CO)
Date: April 18th
Pancake Meal: 5:30 PM
Easter Egg Hunt: 6:30 PM
Enjoy a delicious pancake meal, and then join in the hunt for the Easter eggs!
COST: Free Will Donations

Miss Fees Honored
On Monday, March 17, I was recognized at the Colorado State Knowledge Meet for my 47 years of coaching knowledge bowl at Plainview School. Dawn James (Eads knowledge team coach) and Van Walker (Springfield knowledge team coach) organized this presentation. They re-capped my career in teaching and knowledge bowl with many kind words. I was also presented with a quilt of my favorite thing—cats. This quilt was made by Carol Spady and Ginger Walker (who said the quilt was cat tested). Coaching knowledge bowl has been a long and memorable ride, which I have taken with many talented students and supportive colleagues and knowledge team coaches. Thank you to all who helped me along the way. A special thanks to Amy Schmidt for getting me to Greeley for the presentation.
